An orange, fenced-off portion of a parking lot near the Manderach Memorial Playground is where the township is accepting Christmas trees for recycling from its residents only through next Saturday (Jan. 31, 2009). The trees will be chipped for use as mulch in township park areas, Limerick’s website reports.
Residents are reminded they should not bag trees, and must remove all lights, wire, or metal hooks. Those materials could damage the tree chipper or, worse, injure a worker nearby.
