EAST NORRITON PA – Children age 3 and older can hear a story, play a game, and make a craft on Feb. 2 (2016; Tuesday) at 1 p.m. to celebrate Groundhog Day at the Norristown Farm Park, located at Barley Sheaf Drive and Germantown Pike. The program, conducted by Environmental Education Specialist Ruth King, will meet at the park office.
Adult accompaniment is required for each child. So is advance registration call 610-270-0215 to register. A $5 fee will be charged per child.
Groundhog Day is an annual observance, during which a groundhog is said to come out of its hole at the end of hibernation. If the animal sees its shadow, it is said to predict six more weeks of winter weather.
