ROYERSFORD PA – All three area school districts – Spring-Ford, Pottsgrove, and Pottstown – declared a snow day, and told parents and students Sunday (Jan. 24, 2016) that school buildings will remain closed and classes canceled today (Monday, Jan. 25) because of the “Blizzard of 2016.”
Additionally, Royersford police used Facebook to remind residents Sunday that the borough’s snow emergency declaration “is still in effect.” It won’t be lifted until sometime Monday morning, borough administrators added. “Our public works crew is doing a great job of snow removal, but this is an overwhelming amount. Please do NOT throw snow onto the street. Please make sure to clear your sidewalks,” it said.
“Please keep all cars off of the snow routes,” police asked.
The borough also announced on Facebook that “trash and recycling for both north and south sides of town will be on Tuesday. There will be no trash collection on the south side of town on Monday,” it said.
