COLLEGEVILLE PA – Ursinus College wants to erect a new science building exceeding 3,000 square feet in size, and on Wednesday (Aug. 3, 2016) will participate in a Collegeville Borough Council public hearing on its application for a conditional use permit needed for the project, according to a recently published legal advertisement.
The building is proposed to include room for laboratories, classrooms and common spaces, and would involve two parcels of property located at 601 E. Main St. and 701 E. Main St. on the college campus, the notice stated. The land lies within the borough’s Institutional Zoning District, in which the science building could be an acceptable use if council approves the permit.
The hearing is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in borough hall, 491. E. Main St. It is free to attend, open to the public, and those who attend will have an opportunity to comment on the proposal.
The college’s application currently is available for review at borough hall during regular weekday business hours, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
