Park Needs Volunteers For Habitat Improvement

EAST NORRITON PA – Join a park ranger in an effort to remove invasive plants from the Norristown Farm Park, at Barley Sheaf Drive and Germantown Pike, by volunteering for an animal habitat restoration project there Oct. 9 (2016; Sunday) from 2-3:30 p.m. Volunteers will meet at the park office.

Volunteers will improve animal habitats by removing non-native invasive plant species, and planting some native species. Individuals, families, and groups of adults and children age 9 and older are welcome; all should bring work gloves. Loppers, pruning saws, shears, and hand trowels also are helpful to bring if available.
