LIMERICK PA – Pottsgrove and Spring-Ford Area high school students interested in attending the Western Montgomery Career and Technology Center during the 2017-2018 academic year, and their parents, can attend an open house preview scheduled for them Wednesday (Dec. 7, 2016) from 5-8 p.m. at the center, 77 Graterford Rd. It includes a meeting from 5-6 p.m. specifically intended for next year’s incoming freshmen.
For all other students, particularly those at the middle school level who may be interested in attending the center within a year or more, the open house continues from 6-8 p.m. School officials have described the open house as “an excellent opportunity” to learn about programming at the Western Center and to explore the various career readiness opportunities it provides.
Open house visitors “will have the opportunity to meet with instructors, administrators, and our career counselor to see what WMCTC has to offer you,” the center said in a Facebook post. “With 18 different career programs to choose from, now is the time to learn more and apply online,” it added.
Its goal is to prepare students for direct entry into the work force, as well as to be enrolled in two- and four-year college studies. It hopes to promote “lifelong productivity in a challenging and changing world, by forming innovative partnerships among family, school and community.”
