ROYERSFORD PA – “#ParentCamp,” described as an opportunity for Spring-Ford (Area School District) parents, teachers, residents, and industry experts to discuss what’s best for kids, is scheduled to be held Saturday (Jan. 28, 2017) from 8:30 a.m. to noon at Upper Providence Elementary School, 833 S. Lewis Rd. The event is free to attend and open to the public, although the session is geared toward parents with children in grades K-6.
The event relies upon the expertise and perspective of those in the entire room, not just a single presenter. Every adult within the session is to believed to bring “an important and unique perspective to contribute to sharing strategies and ideas” that benefit student learning, teaching and parenting, according to a Spring-Ford press release.
Discussion leaders in each session will set the tone for what the district foresees as “collaborative dialog.” Discussion leaders may be parents, school and community leaders, or teachers. Sessions are geared toward K-6 parents.
