LIMERICK PA – Two popular retailers that already have a presence in the Philadelphia Premium Outlets on West Lightcap Road – Restoration Hardware, and Toys ‘R Us – are reinvesting in those locations, and one of the two plans to nearly double the size of its store, outlet managers said Thursday (March 9, 2017).
Restoration Hardware, an American home-furnishings brand, will grow to about twice its size with renovations to be completed by early July 2017. The brand first opened at Philadelphia Premium in 2008. It plans to expand into available space adjacent to LOFT Outlet in the Shipbuilders’ Plaza portion of the complex. Shoppers are being told to expect a larger selection of textiles, furniture, lighting, bathware, hardware, and other items.
At Toys ‘R Us, which until now has been a temporary tenant at Philadelphia Premium, intends to gain a permanent home there, management added. The toy and baby merchant will be located across from Brooks Brothers in Milliners’ Plaza.
“It’s always a positive sign when retailers not only reinvest in their locations but expand,” said Kate Johnson, the outlets’ area director of marketing and business development. “It’s a testament to the demand for these brands that both stores will open larger spaces.”
During the past year Philadelphia Premium said it also has welcomed new merchants that include RBX Active, Rockport Outlet, and Beef Jerky Outlet.
