Patrons at the 2016 edition of “The Farmer And The Chef”
COLLEGEVILLE PA – “The Farmer and The Chef,” a tasting dinner of top dishes from area restaurants that for several years has been a fund-raising staple of the Collegeville Economic Development Corp., won’t be held this year, organizers announced Monday (April 3, 2017).
The event had been scheduled for Thursday (April 6) at the Copperfield Inn in Limerick, but had to be canceled due to a lack of restaurant participation, the corporation reported in its e-mailed newsletter. “For our past food tasting dinners we were able to attract close to 20 restaurants, but this year we were only able to draw half that number. With fewer restaurants, we were concerned that we would disappoint our guests,” it said.
“We sincerely thank those restaurants who did agree to be part of the event,” it added.
Patrons who paid for tickets in advance will receive refunds.
