Aldi Hiring Today For Limerick And Elsewhere

EXTON PA – Area residents interested in getting hired as management trainees, as well as for current or future positions at Aldi supermarkets in Limerick or any one of the grocery chain’s other Philadelphia and New Jersey locations, can present themselves today (Wednesday, April 19, 2017) from 2-5 p.m. for what it calls “a one-day hiring blitz event” at its 190 W. Lincoln Hwy., Exton PA, store.

Aldi’s has operated a Armand Hammer Boulevard, Lower Pottsgrove PA, store for several years, but will temporarily close it during May for extensive remodeling. The Limerick store, located in a portion of the former Acme Market on West Ridge Pike, is due to open within weeks.

Aldi said it specifically was looking to hire management in the new stores in Limerick, and East Brunswick, Hackensack, and Old Bridge NJ; and “current locations in North Jersey, Philadelphia, Trenton, East Windsor and Southern New Jersey.” Hiring for non-management positions also will occur during the same hours in Exton, the company added, for any “local residents currently seeking employment opportunities.”

According to Aldi, its manager trainees earn between $52,000 and $77,220 annually, depending on location. Store managers can earn between $75,000 and $95,000 per year.

For today’s event, Aldi said, job candidates:

  • Must be age 18 or older to apply;
  • Are preferred to have a high school diploma or GED;
  • Must be available to work anytime Monday through Sunday between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m.;
  • Are preferred to have retail, and if appropriate management, experience;
  • Must pass drug screening and background checks; and
  • Be able to lift 45 pounds.

ALDI claimed its employees’ wages and benefits are higher than the national average for the retail industry; that employees averaging more than 25 hours a week are eligible for full health insurance benefits and dental coverage, and that all employees can participate in a retirement savings program.
