COLLEGEVILLE PA – Another series of night-time lane restrictions will be imposed next week (June 12-16, Monday through Friday) upon drivers on PA Route 29 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., so employees of H & K Group Inc. of Schwenksville can repair and re-surface the state-owned highway between U.S. Route 422 in Upper Providence south to Tow Path Road in Mont Clare.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work zone. Slowdowns will occur, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation warned in an announcement. The contractor’s schedule depends on the weather, it added.
The work on 29 is part of a more than $5.4 million contract to mill portions of existing surfaces on several state highways and repave them with new asphalt. The new pavement will seal the roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.
