Firefighters Make Elevator Rescue Thursday

TRAPPE PA – Trappe and Collegeville volunteer firefighters on Thursday (June 15, 2015) successfully rescued people riding in an elevator that stopped working while traveling between floors shortly before 3 p.m. in a building (at top) on the 500 block of West Main Street in Trappe, the companies reported.

The specific building, the number of riders in the elevator car, and the cause of the malfunction were not identified. No one was reported injured.

“Members of both companies were able to determine the location of the elevator, and worked together to safely remove its occupants,” according to the Collegeville Fire Company’s Facebook page.
