Installing Sign Could Mean Overnight Delays

VALLEY FORGE PA – To install a new sign structure that’s part of U.S. Route 422 improvements in the Valley Forge area, a contractor plans overnight lane closures and intermittent traffic stoppages of up to 15 minutes next Monday (July 17, 2017) from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on westbound 422 from the Pennsylvania Turnpike overpass to First Avenue, the state Department of Transportation said.

If it rains Monday, the contractor will perform the work Tuesday (July 18) or Wednesday night (July 19) instead, it added.

PennDOT advises drivers to allow additional time for travel on westbound U.S. 422 near the construction zone. It anticipates backups will occur.
