POTTSTOWN PA – Pottstown area residents who need help finding a new job, or an additional job, are being offered introductions to Pennsylvania CareerLink employment services available across the state, thanks to monthly sessions scheduled to begin later during September at the offices of YWCA Tri-County Area, 300 King St.
CareerLink’s free “Welcome Aboard” meetings provide an overview of all in-person and online services available through the agency, billed as the state’s one-stop workforce assistance organization. Attending a Welcome Aboard session is a required first step in using CareerLink, according to Jean Kowalski, the YWCA’s manager of marketing and development.
The first session is planned for Sept. 22 (2017; Friday) from 9:30 am to noon in the King Street facility. Registration is available through the CareerLink website or in person at the YWCA on the day of any session.
- This event has been added to The Post Publications calendar.
During each session CareerLink staff members will discuss what the agency offers and how, and also give participants a preliminary assessment to review their individual needs. Those interested can then may schedule a visit to a CareerLink office in Norristown, Reading, or Exton for more assistance.
