LIMERICK PA – Got a calculator handy? If so, and if you’re ready to wade through a mass of numbers, the Limerick Board of Supervisors is ready to talk about next year’s budget.
The board has 2018 township budget workshop meetings scheduled for Oct. 5 (2017; Thursday), Oct. 9 (Monday), and Oct. 25 (Wednesday, but that’s a tentative date, according to Manager Daniel Kerr) all beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the municipal building, 155 S. Limerick Rd., Suite 100. The meetings are free to attend and open to the public.
- These events have been added to The Post Publications calendar.
These sessions won’t be the board’s first looks at next year’s spending plan. During its earlier meetings, some budget components – highway maintenance and repair is one example – were discussed in some depth. Budget-related conversations in April, for example, allowed the township to start next year’s work for road improvements such as the Royersford Road realignment reviewed earlier this week.
Budget discussions also will occur, Kerr said, during supervisors’ regular meetings in October and November.
