ROYERSFORD PA – Want to help the Royersford Free Public Library reach the next level of community service? Maybe you can start by joining its Board of Trustees.
The library board hopes to welcome three new members during January 2018. Trustees must be residents of either Limerick Township, Royersford Borough or Upper Providence Township. If you’re interested in serving, call board President Terry Nykanen at 610-792-2705.
Trustees are charged with the strategic, long-term success of the library in fulfilling its mission in the community. Main areas of responsibility include public relations, advocacy, financial oversight, fund-raising, library governance, and long-range planning.
Individual board members contribute their unique skills and knowledge in areas that include marketing and public relations, resource development and fund-raising, technology, business management, construction, finances and accounting, human resources, and law.
Trustees serve a 3-year term and hold meetings on the third Wednesday of each month.
