422 Lane Closures, Stops In King Of Prussia

KING OF PRUSSIA PA – Lane closures with traffic stoppages are scheduled next Thursday night (Nov. 9, 2017) on both east-and westbound U.S. Route 422 between Route 23 and Route 363 for construction activities, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced.

Eastbound 422 traffic will endure lane closures with periodic 15-minute stoppages from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. between Route 363 and Route 23. Westbound 422 drivers will also see lane closures and stops, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., between Route 23 and Route 363.

Drivers should allow additional time for travel. Backups will occur in the construction zones, PennDOT said. The work schedule depends on the weather.

The project includes improving 422 between the Route 23 and Route 363 interchanges, upgrading Route 23 at the interchange, and improving ramps at the 363, 23 and First Avenue interchanges. Work began in February 2016 and is scheduled to finish in May 2020.
