NORRISTOWN PA – A team of prosecutors from the Montgomery County District Attorney’s office will be available to respond to any threats made toward members of the public attempting to vote in today’s (Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2018) general elections, according to DA Kevin Steele. He said he wanted to ensure voters avoided “intimidation, threats or other abuse of the electoral system.”
“While we don’t expect any, we stand ready to assist in protecting the integrity of our electoral system, as we do for every election,” Steele added.
Detectives will work with county, local law enforcement, and other government officials to investigate and prosecute, if appropriate, any reported violation of election laws. Any potential problem should be reported to First Assistant District Attorney Edward F. McCann Jr. at 610-278-3100, or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. The DA’s Office can also be reached through the county radio room at 610-275-1222.
