SPRING CITY PA – Although Spring City borough has not yet declared a snow emergency, its police department is asking residents to voluntarily remove cars from any streets designated as snow routes by early this afternoon (Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018) so public works crews can adequately treat driving surfaces in advance and plow them later as needed.
Spring City Police Chief Anthony Kulkinski noted on Facebook that the National Weather Service predicts snow events today and Wednesday (Jan. 17). AccuWeather is reporting the possibility of between 1 and 2 inches of snowfall by tonight, and the chance of snow showers Wednesday morning, followed by clearing. Temperatures are anticipated to range between a low of 29 degrees and a high of 38 for the period.
