ROYERSFORD PA – The annual STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) Fair held by the Spring-Ford Area School District returns Feb. 22 (2018; Thursday) at 6:30 p.m. at the 9th Grade Center, 400 S. Lewis Rd., the district announced. The event is free and open to the public.
- This event has been added to The Post Publications calendar.
This year’s fair hopes to meet three goals, the district said Wednesday (Feb. 7). It wants to make the public aware of everyday STEM initiatives, courses, and programs available at the high school.
It hopes to give greater visibility to colleges and universities with STEM degree programs and certifications, in which graduating students could be interested. Post-secondary schools with booths at the fair will include Montgomery County Community College, Penn College of Technology, Penn State University, Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology, and York College.
Thinking even farther ahead, it plans to introduce STEM industry representatives who will discuss career opportunities. Also with booths at the fair will be employers Lockheed Martin, DOW Chemical Company, Johnson & Johnson, PJM Power, Glaxosmithkline, Alpine Cyber Solutions, The Vanguard Group, and Video Ray.
